Agent Reservation Sales

About the Role

Courtyard by Marriott is seeking an Agent-Reservation Sales to manage all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations. This full-time position involves direct interaction with guests to understand their needs and ensure accurate booking information. The role requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or mail.
• Identify guest reservation needs, determine appropriate room types, and verify availability and rates.
• Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.
• Accommodate and document special requests from guests.
• Answer questions regarding property facilities, services, and room accommodations.
• Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue.
• Communicate information concerning designated VIP reservations.
• Input and access data within the reservation system.
• Address challenges in accommodating rooming requests by coordinating with relevant individuals or departments.
• Oversee the accuracy of room blocks and reservations.
• Input group rooming lists, revise room blocks to maintain required room availability, and organize group files.
• Set up proper billing accounts in accordance with Accounting policies.

Operational Standards and Guest Services

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring a professional appearance and maintaining confidentiality.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs.
• Assist individuals with disabilities and express genuine appreciation to guests.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, prepare accurate written documents, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Execute other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to process reservation requests accurately and efficiently.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in using reservation systems for data input and access.
