Banquet Supervisor Audio Visual

About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton is seeking a Banquet Supervisor-Audio Visual to join their team. This full-time position involves overseeing and executing all audio-visual requirements for banquet events, ensuring seamless operation and guest satisfaction. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify AV equipment inventory before events and ensure all necessary items are available.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot all AV equipment, devices, and systems.
• Ensure all equipment is fully operational, performing repairs or cleaning as needed.
• Manage cabling by taping down or dressing loose wires and labeling broken equipment.
• Cross-reference delivered equipment and room setup against the Banquet Event Order.
• Communicate any additions or deletions to flowsheets.
• Break down, remove, and secure AV equipment post-event.
• Set up and maintain the property’s portable audio system and operate the house audio system.
• Assist and instruct guests on the proper usage and operation of AV equipment.
• Upsell AV services and monitor equipment operation during events.
• Adhere to Marriott Visual Productions (MVP program) Standard Operating Procedures.
• Assist management with hiring, training, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Serve as a role model and initial point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
• Follow company policies and procedures, report accidents, and complete safety training.
• Maintain a professional appearance, ensure confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and communicate professionally.
• Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Identify and implement ways to increase efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.
• Inspect tools and equipment, and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Utilize computer/POS systems and navigate stairs/service ramps.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or * equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None required.
