Role Overview: Audio Visual Technician

The Audio Visual Technician is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of all audio-visual equipment and systems, upholding The Ritz-Carlton's "Gold Standards" daily. This full-time role involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting AV equipment in various settings, primarily banquet and meeting rooms. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot all AV, projection, lighting, and conferencing equipment, devices, and systems.
• Oversee the setup of AV equipment in banquet and meeting rooms, ensuring full operational status.
• Repair or clean equipment as necessary, labeling any broken items and communicating issues to management.
• Secure and dress all loose wires and cables.
• Verify delivered equipment and room setup against the Banquet Event Order and communicate any discrepancies.
• Assist and instruct guests on proper usage and operation of AV equipment, monitoring operation at regular intervals.
• Break down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use.
• Adhere to the Marriott Visual Productions (MVP program) Standard Operating Procedures.

General Duties and Expectations

• Follow all company safety and security policies, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with colleagues and guests.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Perform physical tasks including reaching, grasping, turning, manipulating, moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
• Execute other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
