Coater Process Engineer

About the Role

Guardian Industries is seeking a Coater Process Engineer specializing in Vacuum Coater Processes. This full-time role, based in the Eastern region, requires 5-10 years of experience. The successful candidate will leverage process expertise to support and advance the company’s environmental, health, safety, and stewardship goals, while ensuring consistent product quality and driving cost-effective manufacturing.

Role Contribution

This position plays a key role in creating competitive advantages that contribute to Guardian’s business success. The engineer will be integral to the global development team, contributing to new thin film process technology, product launches, product transfers, and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and optimization of coating processes for current and upcoming product projects.
• Serve as an integral member of the global development team, contributing to new thin film process technology, product launches, product transfers, and process improvement initiatives.
• Lead an operational team in a safe and efficient manner, taking ownership of vision advancement, safety, quality, and productivity.
• Provide process engineering support to plant operations, driving improvements in quality, performance, and throughput of vacuum coating systems.
• Seek opportunities to learn from the market and bring outside perceptions, best practices, and opportunities to improve Guardian’s process technology capability.
• Advance and deepen the underlying knowledge of products and production process technologies.
• Clearly present and communicate ideas, concepts, and plans across multiple levels throughout the region.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, learnings, and innovations to advance the business strategy.

Experience Required

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in process engineering, with a specialization in vacuum coater processes.
