About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Control & Protection Design Engineer to join our team in Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to ensuring the proper performance of design works within the control and protection domain, adhering to committed budgets, deadlines, and quality standards.

Role Purpose and Scope

As a lead engineer specializing in High Voltage Substation Control, protection, and low voltage system design, you will serve as the technical guarantor for design reliability, efficiency, and compliance. The role emphasizes aligning with customer expectations while promoting ease of installation, operation, and maintenance of the systems. You will ensure all designs meet relevant industry standards, protection standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team responsible for designing and integrating control systems, protection systems, electrical distribution, telecom, and monitoring for High Voltage substations.
• Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of all designs with established industry standards, protection standards, and regulations.
• Collaborate with other engineers to facilitate seamless project execution.
• Support comprehensive project documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the design process.

Design Deliverables

This role involves the creation and delivery of various critical design outputs, including:

• Single line diagrams and schematic diagrams.
• Detailed protection system designs.
• Designs for electrical consumption and auxiliary services.
• Interlocking, communication, and network designs.

Experience Requirements
