About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Control & Protection Design Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, remote position focused on the comprehensive design, development, and optimization of control and protection systems within a Systems Engineering framework. The role involves applying a cross-functional technical approach to deliver quality products that meet both business and technical customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, develop, evaluate, introduce, and manage engineering solutions for product and control system technology requirements.
Apply control theory and mathematical modeling to design and control systems, focusing on operability, setting limits, cycle optimization, control logic, control-related software, sensors, hardware and software algorithms, and feedback for performance control.
Implement a robust process for designing, building, and optimizing systems, including identifying requirements, creating alternative design concepts, conducting trade-off studies, selecting and implementing designs, and verifying integration.
Utilize in-depth technical discipline knowledge, analytical thinking, and technical experience to implement policies and strategies.
Exercise judgment to propose various solutions for complicated manufacturing processes with technical diversity and interdependent production cycles.
Serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues, potentially leading small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
Communicate performance expectations and handle confidential topics, developing skills to build team consensus on field-related issues.

Qualifications and Requirements

Advanced experience, typically 5-10 years, in a relevant field.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with equivalent relevant experience.
In-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and best practices, with awareness of market competition.
