About the Role

Penta Consulting is seeking a Teradata Data Mart & Semantic Layer Developer to join a large-scale banking and financial services program in Saudi Arabia. This contract role requires 2-5 years of experience and involves designing, developing, and enhancing semantic layer and data mart solutions within a Teradata environment. The successful candidate will support critical reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Semantic Layer and Data Mart solutions within Teradata environments.
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable data models and reporting structures.
• Develop, optimise, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and Teradata BTEQ scripts.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
• Support the development and enhancement of core banking and financial reporting data models.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and adherence to enterprise data governance standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, BI, Analytics, and Business teams.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 4+ years' experience in Semantic Layer and Data Mart development within Teradata projects.
• Strong understanding of Core Banking Data Models and Financial Services Data Models (FSDM).
• Advanced expertise in SQL development and Teradata/BTEQ scripting.
• Proven ability to analyse, interpret, and translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong understanding of business processes and data requirements within the financial services and banking sector.
• Experience working in enterprise-scale data warehouse and analytics environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience delivering data solutions for banking or financial institutions.
• Exposure to enterprise data warehousing, reporting, and business intelligence platforms.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
