Data Analyst / Database Administrator (DBA)

About the Role

Jobmaze is seeking an experienced Data Analyst / Database Administrator (DBA) for a full-time position with a client in Al Khobar, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia. This role involves managing the health, availability, performance, and access governance of the Microsoft SQL Server environment, while also providing support to business teams for reporting and data requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft SQL Server instances, covering performance, storage, configuration, and patching.
• Manage and monitor Always On Availability Groups, including replica health, synchronization, and scheduled failover testing.
• Oversee database access provisioning, implement least-privilege permissions, and conduct periodic access reviews.
• Perform SQL query and index optimization to enhance application and reporting performance.
• Coordinate database backup and restore activities using Commvault and validate recoverability.
• Support automated SQL Server schema deployments and minimize manual production changes.
• Produce and maintain reports and data extracts for business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure database availability and performance.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience across several key areas of database management. This includes SQL Server administration, ensuring database high availability, performance optimization, and managing access governance. Additionally, candidates should have proven capabilities in data reporting.
