About the Role

AIQU is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join its team in Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This contract role focuses on managing enterprise databases, overseeing data management activities, and developing reporting and automation solutions. The primary objective is to ensure database reliability, data accuracy, optimal performance, robust security, and the effective delivery of critical business information.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or equivalent systems.
• Perform database design, administration, performance tuning, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and various database objects.
• Support data management, data quality, integration, migration, and governance activities.
• Develop and maintain MIS reports, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions.
• Automate database and reporting processes using SQL, Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting tools.
• Support integration between databases and enterprise information systems.
• Ensure database security, access controls, availability, and compliance with relevant standards.
• Work collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in database administration and management. Consulting experience is preferred for this position.

Technical Expertise

Proficiency is required in managing and maintaining enterprise databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or equivalent systems. The role also requires practical experience in automating processes using tools like SQL, Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.

Work Environment and Location

This is a contract position based in Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a professional with a solid background in database administration, ready to contribute to critical data infrastructure.
