Starlinks is seeking a Director, Finance to oversee the financial operations of its functions. This full-time role requires a strong understanding of financial management, cost analysis, and operational efficiency to drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making.

Role Summary

The Director, Finance will report to the Finance Executive Director and will be responsible for ensuring financial transparency and accountability across the organization. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize costs and align financial strategies with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and performance analysis.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
• Oversee the preparation and analysis of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and KPIs, providing actionable insights to senior management.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, management accounts, and performance dashboards.
• Establish cost-control frameworks, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve resource utilization.
• Conduct detailed cost-benefit analyses and profitability assessments of business initiatives.
• Partner with operational and other business functions to align financial plans and drive performance improvements.
• Evaluate and optimize financial and operational processes to enhance productivity and cost efficiency.
• Design and monitor internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks through effective risk management.
• Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and liquidity planning.
• Manage financial governance, statutory reporting, and audit coordination.
• Lead and develop finance teams, setting performance objectives and strengthening technical capabilities.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to evaluate business performance and provide financial recommendations.
• Oversee capital expenditure planning and investment appraisal.
• Establish and monitor financial KPIs and management reporting frameworks.
• Drive automation and digital transformation of finance processes using ERP systems and BI tools.
• Support procurement activities through contract cost analysis and spend optimization.
• Conduct periodic financial reviews and operational assessments to identify performance gaps.
• Strengthen financial planning through sensitivity analysis, scenario modeling, and revenue forecasting.
• Ensure effective coordination with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Promote a culture of financial discipline and data-driven decision-making.
• Prepare and present financial reports, strategic recommendations, and budget reviews to stakeholders.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations.

Qualifications and Education

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A Master's degree is preferred.
