About the Role

Acwa is seeking an Electrical Technician to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves executing preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance activities, as well as annual outage and overhauling work on plant equipment. The Electrical Technician will work under the direction of an Electrical Supervisor or Engineer, with a strong emphasis on safety adherence.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all duties are performed safely, efficiently, and effectively, complying with NOMAC safety rules and regulations.
Perform all plant maintenance activities in a timely and safe manner, strictly adhering to applicable maintenance procedures and work instructions. Document maintenance concerns and equipment history.
Report required spare parts and consumables to the Electrical Supervisor/Engineer and update spare parts availability to meet maintenance needs.
Ensure proper isolations are carried out before starting maintenance activities on equipment, in coordination with the Electrical Supervisor and local operator.
Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, and perform maintenance on equipment under jurisdiction. This includes having good knowledge of electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and protection drawings related to plant equipment.
Install, adjust, inspect, service, and repair various static and rotating electrical equipment used in power and desalination plants.
Carry out all necessary preparations for electrical maintenance to assigned equipment and areas.
Understand the working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems.
Perform 5S housekeeping in the assigned work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance within a plant environment. A strong understanding of electrical systems, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols is essential.

Work Environment

This position requires readiness to work in a remote location within Saudi Arabia. The role is full-time and involves hands-on maintenance activities in a power and desalination plant setting.
