Electrical Technician

About the Role

Acwa China is seeking an Electrical Technician to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah Al Manwarah. This full-time role involves carrying out maintenance, installation, overhauling, and modification activities on the plant's electrical machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the effective functionality and reliability of electrical systems by performing all tasks in accordance with standard maintenance procedures, HSE guidelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily and routine preventative electrical maintenance work according to schedule and established procedures to support continuous operations.
• Monitor the physical condition of all assigned plant equipment and report non-conformances to the Electrical Engineer or Supervisor.
• Respond to electrical failures, implement corrective actions, and troubleshoot faults using diagnostic tools to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose causes of electrical malfunction in operational equipment such as transformers, motors, relays, switches, and control devices, and take corrective measures.
• Interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams to execute maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
• Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment to specifications and maintain accurate records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.
• Check stock levels of necessary spare parts to support effective inventory control.
• Update maintenance logbooks with details of work performed, including defaults, problems, findings, and equipment conditions.

Compliance and Improvement

• Contribute to the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programs, and projects in line with organizational standards.
• Adhere to all relevant organizational and departmental policies, processes, standard maintenance procedures, and instructions.
• Comply with all health, safety, security, and environmental procedures, instructions, and controls to ensure employee safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance within a plant or industrial setting.
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults in various equipment.

Additional Duties

The Electrical Technician may be required to perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager to support operational needs.
