About the Role

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. This full-time role involves providing advice and guidance on employment laws, regulations, and company policies, ensuring fair and consistent treatment across the organization. The specialist will work closely with HR teams, managers, and employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Employee Relations strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Ensure the smooth workflow of day-to-day operations and meet with stakeholders to discuss people-related challenges.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions and performance management.
  • Offer guidance on people practices such as restructuring and succession planning.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints, issues, and conflicts in a timely and confidential manner, including alleged violations of company policies like discrimination and harassment.
  • Analyze monthly payroll attendance reports and prepare warnings as per the sanction matrix.
  • Coach and provide feedback to key stakeholders to help improve business efficiency.
  • Support departments in identifying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Operational Duties

  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system designed to drive high performance.
  • Maintain the company's pay plan and benefits program.
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout Human Resource Management.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training programs related to employee relations topics.
  • Monitor and track the performance of direct reports and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee relations records and documentation.
  • Keep abreast of current employee relations legislation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant organizational Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Quality Management (QM) policies, procedures, and controls across the department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Candidates should possess 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
