Engineering Technician

About the Role

St. Regis is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their team. This full-time role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly.
• Communicate effectively with guests and customers to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines for proper function and potential issues.
• Carry and manage necessary equipment, such as tools and radios.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Record information for unfinished calls before shift changes.

Safety and Compliance

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Properly store flammable materials according to safety guidelines.

Guest and Team Interaction

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Support the team in achieving common goals and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language.

Physical Requirements and Professional Standards

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Navigate stairs, service ramps, and ladders as required.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in an engineering or maintenance technician role.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as outlined above.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
