Mindrift - Data annotation is seeking an English-Chinese Bilingual Speaker for a remote voice recording project. This is a project-based freelance opportunity focused on AI training, offering flexibility without fixed hours or commitments.

Role Overview

The role involves recording short, casual voice clips that naturally blend English and Chinese, reflecting real-life conversational patterns. There are no scripts or specific scenarios; recordings will capture natural speech on various topics such as daily experiences or opinions. The ideal candidate will seamlessly switch between English and Chinese during conversation.

Key Responsibilities

• Record 1-2 minute voice clips in response to prompts or short videos.
• Speak naturally, incorporating both English and Chinese as would occur in everyday conversation.
• Complete multiple clips per recording session.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Language: Fully bilingual, fluent or native in both English and Chinese, with a natural tendency to mix the two languages when speaking.
• Experience: 0-1 years of relevant experience.
• Equipment: Any recording device, including a smartphone, is acceptable. No specialized studio equipment is required.
• Recording Environment: A quiet room free from background noise such as music, television, traffic, or other conversations.
• Audio Quality: Clear voice, recorded close to the microphone, with only one speaker and no echo. A headset or earbuds with a microphone can be beneficial but are not mandatory. Clean audio is essential for clip approval.

Compensation

Compensation is up to $5 per hour equivalent, depending on the specific project. Payment is issued per approved recording.

Work Arrangement

This is a remote, freelance opportunity, allowing work from any comfortable location. The schedule is flexible, accommodating individual availability.
