About the Role

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking a Fit Out Construction Engineer to represent the Consultant on-site. This full-time role involves overseeing the execution of interior fit-out works for large-scale mixed-use developments and theme park projects. The engineer will monitor contractor performance, ensure compliance with project specifications, and maintain quality standards from construction through handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect fit-out construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Monitor the installation of architectural finishes, joinery, ceilings, flooring, partitions, themed elements, FF&E, and specialty fit-out works.
• Review material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and RFIs submitted by contractors.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and specialist vendors to resolve site issues.
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare observation reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and snagging lists.
• Verify work progress and provide recommendations for contractor payment applications.
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control procedures are implemented throughout construction.
• Monitor contractor compliance with project schedules and approved construction methodologies.
• Witness testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, project specifications, health and safety requirements, and industry best practices.
• Attend progress meetings and prepare technical reports for the Resident Engineer and Project Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction and site supervision consultancy.
• Proven experience in mixed-use developments, entertainment destinations, theme parks, hospitality, retail, and large-scale commercial projects.
• Previous experience working with engineering consultancies on site supervision assignments.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of architectural finishes, fit-out systems, themed construction, and FF&E installations.
• Familiarity with international construction standards and Saudi Arabian regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software.
