About the Hostess Role at InterContinental Riyadh

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Hostess for the InterContinental Riyadh. This full-time position involves managing guest reception and ensuring smooth restaurant operations, requiring 0-1 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet all guests and potential guests at the restaurant entrance.
• Ensure the restaurant is prepared for guests prior to opening, including wait staff and table readiness.
• Verify that all restaurant operating equipment is clean and functional.
• Maintain impeccable uniform and personal presentation standards in line with hotel policy.
• Welcome guests by using the restaurant name and manage reservations, including creating new ones with dining preferences.
• Escort guests to their preferred or reserved tables and seat them according to restaurant standards.
• Handle telephone bookings and document them accurately in the reservation book.
• Train wait staff and bus staff on hostess standards.
• Address guest complaints where possible and report all incidents to the Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of hostess stations, menus, and drink menus.
• Assist with beverage and food service as needed.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of the menu, including daily specials.
• Ensure tables are cleared quietly and efficiently.
• Carry food and beverage trays safely to minimize breakages.
• Complete dockets accurately and clearly.
• Stay informed about all general activities of the hotel.

Safety and Operational Requirements

• Demonstrate awareness of OH&S policies and procedures, ensuring all tasks are conducted safely and within guidelines.
• Adhere to occupational health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Be familiar with property safety, first aid, fire, and emergency procedures, operating equipment safely and sensibly.
• Initiate action to correct hazardous situations and notify supervisors of potential dangers.
• Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of experience, demonstrating a foundational understanding of hospitality operations and guest service. A commitment to maintaining high standards of service and safety is essential.
