Role Overview

The Lead Geologist drives mineral resource discovery and growth across Ma'aden’s exploration portfolio. This full-time role involves translating geological interpretation, drilling outcomes, and technical insights to enhance resource confidence, support future mine development options, and inform investment decisions. Success in this position contributes to exploration performance, resource quality, and long-term business value. A minimum of 10 years of experience is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape exploration plans to advance priority targets and resource growth opportunities.
• Define mineralization potential through geological interpretation and technical evaluation.
• Deliver drilling and field programs to improve resource confidence and project readiness.
• Convert exploration results into clear recommendations for portfolio and investment decisions.
• Lead exploration drilling, mapping, sampling, and field activities across assigned assets.
• Optimize field execution for safety, productivity, cost control, and technical quality.
• Coordinate contractors, equipment, and resources to meet exploration priorities.
• Maintain accurate geological data capture, validation, interpretation, and reporting.
• Develop geological models and technical outputs to strengthen resource evaluation.
• Improve geological databases, records, and quality controls to protect data integrity.
• Identify geological risks and opportunities affecting resource confidence and project value.
• Align exploration activities with resource development, mining, study, and business priorities.
• Provide expert guidance to support technical decisions and cross-functional alignment.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, technical, and reporting standards.
• Apply leading exploration practices, tools, and technologies to improve performance.
• Build technical capability and promote knowledge sharing across exploration teams.
