About Master-Works and the Role

Master-Works is seeking a Legal Consultant to provide comprehensive legal advice and support to the organization. This full-time position is critical for ensuring strict compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The role requires a professional with 5-10 years of proven experience in legal affairs.

Role Overview

The Legal Consultant will be responsible for interpreting and applying Saudi laws, monitoring regulatory changes, and proactively identifying and mitigating potential legal and regulatory risks. A significant aspect of this role involves providing expert legal guidance on data management, data governance, and data privacy matters, ensuring adherence to relevant data protection requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and consultation across a broad spectrum of legal matters.
• Review, draft, and offer recommendations on contracts, agreements, legal documents, and correspondence.
• Interpret applicable laws, regulations, policies, and regulatory requirements, providing legal guidance accordingly.
• Monitor updates and changes to Saudi laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the organization.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, memoranda, reports, and recommendations.
• Identify potential legal and regulatory risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Support the development and review of legal policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
• Provide legal advice on data management, data governance, and data privacy matters.
• Advise on data protection and privacy requirements in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in the Kingdom.
• Provide legal guidance on matters related to data collection, processing, sharing, retention, and protection.
• Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to address legal matters and inquiries.
• Coordinate with external legal advisors and counsel when required.
• Support the organization in addressing legal disputes and other legal matters.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant Saudi laws, regulations, and data privacy requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in Legal Affairs, preferably within a public-sector entity.
• Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and legal frameworks applicable in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Experience in data management and data privacy.
• Knowledge of data protection and privacy requirements.

• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, consultation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to interpret legal and regulatory requirements and translate them into practical recommendations.
