About the Role

Cactus Communications, through its flagship brand Editage, is expanding its global network of freelance contributors. We are seeking a Linguistics Specialist Saudi Arabic (Southern) to join our platform and support ongoing AI and language-based projects. This is a part-time, remote position based in Saudi Arabia, offering flexible, task-based work.

Project Focus

The role involves contributing to diverse projects that require specialized linguistic expertise in Saudi Arabic, specifically focusing on Southern dialects. Contributors will engage with various content types, including general areas such as travel, food, lifestyle, and finance, to enhance AI model performance and content accuracy.

Core Responsibilities

• Review and refine text, translations, and captions across various general subject areas.
• Transcribe conversations and conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy.
• Label or annotate voice, text, or image content as required by project specifications.
• Review and correct outputs generated by AI systems.
• Assist in localizing content to optimize it for AI models.
• Accurately identify and label dialect variations within linguistic data.

Required Qualifications

• Near-native level proficiency in the target language, Saudi Arabic (Southern).
• Strong command of the English language.
• Demonstrated excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions precisely and consistently.

Work Environment and Flexibility

This position offers a 100% remote work arrangement, providing flexibility for contributors. Work is ad hoc and task-based, allowing for adaptable scheduling. Contributors will have the opportunity to engage with a wide variety of projects as part of a global contributor pool.
