About MAS Energy

MAS Energy is a Saudi manpower and oilfield services company established in 1980, with its headquarters in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. For over four decades, the company has provided specialized technical talent to support Saudi Arabia’s energy sector, particularly for demanding upstream operations. MAS Energy focuses on placing highly qualified professionals across various disciplines, including drilling, workover, petroleum engineering, and other critical technical roles.

The Role: Materials Controller

The Materials Controller is a contract, on-site role based in the Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This position is responsible for managing the flow, storage, and documentation of materials essential for oilfield and related operations. The role involves monitoring inventory, ensuring proper handling, and maintaining accurate records to support efficient materials management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor purchase orders and material delivery schedules from placement through final delivery.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, vendors, procurement teams, logistics, and project personnel regarding material status.
  • Follow up regularly with suppliers to ensure materials are manufactured and delivered according to the approved schedule.
  • Review supplier commitments, manufacturing schedules, inspection dates, and expected delivery dates.
  • Prepare and maintain material expediting reports, procurement status reports, and delivery trackers.
  • Identify potential delays, shortages, or risks and communicate them immediately to the concerned departments.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to develop recovery plans for delayed or critical materials.
  • Monitor engineering documents, material approvals, inspection requirements, and other prerequisites affecting delivery.
  • Coordinate with Quality Control/Quality Assurance teams regarding inspection and testing requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery dates, supplier commitments, and material status.
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials, update material records, and ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling in accordance with company standards and safety requirements.
  • Prepare regular inventory and material usage reports and support audits.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in materials management processes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 0-1 year of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor inventory levels and manage material flow.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and preparing reports.
  • Understanding of safety requirements and company standards for material handling and storage.

Work Type and Location

This is a contract position requiring on-site presence in the Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within an operational environment, ensuring efficient material management for oilfield and related activities.
