About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Medina is seeking a Front Office Manager I to assist in administering front office functions and supervising staff. This full-time position plays a key role in ensuring efficient operations and guest satisfaction within the front office departments.

Key Responsibilities

The Front Office Manager I will oversee the daily operations of front office areas, including Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard, and Guest Services/Front Desk. This role involves directing and working with managers and employees to implement procedures that ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process. A primary focus will be on achieving guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing the financial performance of the department.

Key duties include:

  • Managing day-to-day operations to meet customer expectations and maintain quality standards.
  • Developing plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work objectives.
  • Handling guest complaints, resolving disputes, and managing conflicts.
  • Supervising staffing levels to meet service, operational, and financial goals.
  • Ensuring consistent communication with employees regarding business objectives and performance expectations.
  • Understanding and managing departmental operations to achieve or exceed financial goals.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, responding to guest needs, and handling problems effectively.
  • Implementing customer recognition programs and monitoring adherence to credit policies.
  • Supervising same-day selling procedures to maximize revenue and control occupancy.
  • Ensuring property policies are administered fairly and consistently.

Team Leadership and Support

This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead and influence team members. The Front Office Manager I will foster mutual trust, respect, and cooperation within the team, serving as a role model for appropriate behaviors. Responsibilities include supervising and managing employees, understanding their roles to perform duties in their absence, and establishing open, collaborative relationships.

Additionally, the position involves supporting employee development through coaching and mentoring, soliciting feedback, and addressing employee concerns. Assistance with interviewing and hiring, as well as supporting departmental orientation and training programs, is also expected.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet one of the following educational and experience requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED, plus 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, or a related professional area.
  • A 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major; no work experience is required for this educational path.

Additional Duties

The Front Office Manager I will provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates through various communication channels. This includes analyzing information, evaluating results to solve problems, and informing stakeholders of relevant updates in a timely manner. The role also requires performing all duties at the Front Desk as necessary and running shifts whenever required. Participation in departmental meetings and consistent communication of Front Desk goals are also part of the responsibilities.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position located in Medina, Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah.
