Pre Sales Engineer ELV (Low Current Networking & CCTV)

About the Role

Aroma City Group is seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer ELV (Low Current, Networking & CCTV) to join their team. This full-time role involves translating client requirements into technical solutions and supporting the sales process with expert technical knowledge. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements from RFP/RFQ/tender documents and translate them into technical solutions for networking, security, and CCTV systems.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), technical compliance sheets, and system architecture/design drawings.
• Select appropriate products and vendors, including structured cabling, switches, firewalls, access control, IP CCTV, and VMS, based on project scope and budget.
• Conduct site surveys to assess technical feasibility and gather detailed requirements.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to clients and consultants.
• Coordinate with vendors/OEMs such as Cisco, Fortinet, Hikvision, Axis, Milestone, Genetec, and HID to obtain quotations, certifications, and technical support.
• Respond to technical queries during tender clarification stages.
• Support the sales team in preparing commercial and technical proposals within specified deadlines.
• Ensure proposed solutions comply with project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards (*, NFPA, SIRA, TDRA, or relevant local authority requirements).
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and CCTV/surveillance technologies and trends.
• Handoff technical documentation to the project/implementation team upon order confirmation.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a pre-sales engineering role, specifically within ELV systems, low current, networking, and CCTV. A strong technical background in these areas is essential for success in this position.

Technical Expertise

The role requires expertise in various technical domains, including the ability to design and implement solutions involving structured cabling, network switches, firewalls, access control systems, and IP CCTV/VMS platforms. Familiarity with products from leading vendors such as Cisco, Fortinet, Hikvision, Axis, Milestone, Genetec, and HID is expected.

Compliance and Standards

A thorough understanding of relevant industry standards and local regulations, including NFPA, SIRA, TDRA, and other applicable authority requirements, is necessary to ensure all proposed solutions meet compliance criteria.
