The Process Automation System SME Role

Wood is seeking a Process Automation System SME to serve as the Technical Authority for its diverse portfolio of projects. This full-time position is based in Saudi Arabia and involves providing expert guidance and leadership in process automation systems across various critical sectors. The role is central to ensuring technical excellence and governance within the discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, including proposals, concept studies, FEED, detailed engineering, construction support, and commissioning phases.
• Act as the highest level of technical authority within the process automation discipline.
• Offer specialist expertise, ensure engineering excellence, strengthen technical governance, and support the delivery of safe, innovative, and high-quality engineering solutions.
• Mentor engineering teams to foster professional growth and technical capability.
• Establish and maintain robust technical standards for process automation systems.
• Support business development activities by contributing technical insights and expertise.
• Contribute to technical assurance processes to uphold project quality and compliance.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and key stakeholders across the region.
