The Role of Sales Department Manager

ABYAT is seeking a Sales Department Manager for a full-time position in Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This role involves leading the sales performance and daily commercial operations of an assigned department within the showroom. The manager is responsible for achieving sales targets, ensuring a strong customer experience, managing team performance, and maintaining proper product availability and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve department sales, margin, and other commercial targets.
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Drive upselling, cross-selling, and conversion rates within the department.
Monitor department KPIs, customer traffic, and sales opportunities.
Understand customer needs and ensure the team provides suitable product and solution recommendations.
Lead, coach, and motivate Sales Associates/Sales Consultants.
Set individual targets and follow up on employee performance.
Conduct daily briefings and communicate sales priorities, promotions, and targets.
Identify performance or capability gaps and provide coaching.
Ensure appropriate manpower coverage during peak periods.
Ensure customers receive professional and knowledgeable service.
Support the team in handling complex customer requirements and complaints.
Build strong customer relationships and support high-value sales opportunities.
Maintain strong knowledge of the department's products, specifications, pricing, and promotions.
Ensure products are correctly displayed, priced, and available for customers.
Coordinate with merchandising/category and inventory teams regarding stock availability.
Monitor fast- and slow-moving products and communicate commercial observations.
Ensure showroom standards and department presentation are maintained.
Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, installation, after-sales, and other departments for smooth order fulfillment.
Follow up on customer orders and outstanding issues requiring escalation.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, pricing policies, and approval authorities.
Support stock counts and inventory-control activities.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required for this role.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a dynamic retail environment focused on home improvement products.
