Senior H&S Engineer

About the Role

SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking a Senior H&S Engineer to oversee the implementation and monitoring of health and safety requirements during the construction phase of major building and hospitality developments. This regular work-type role ensures compliance with project HSE standards, Saudi Arabian regulations, and international best practices, supporting a safe working environment for all site personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the project Health and Safety Management System in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure contractors comply with approved health and safety plans, procedures, and regulatory obligations.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through continuous engagement with project teams and contractors.
• Monitor safety performance indicators and recommend improvements to enhance site safety.
• Support the development and implementation of safety initiatives and awareness campaigns.

Site Safety Monitoring and Compliance

• Conduct routine safety inspections of work areas, equipment, access routes, and temporary facilities.
• Verify compliance with safe work practices for high-risk activities including work at height, lifting operations, excavation, and confined space entry.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment and implementation of site safety controls.
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly for identified safety observations and violations.
• Participate in regulatory inspections and ensure compliance with local authority requirements.
