About the Role: Senior Product Specialist - Fasenra

This full-time role is responsible for generating clinical demand for the Biologics portfolio, proactively identifying business opportunities, and presenting value propositions aligned with stakeholder needs. The Senior Product Specialist will develop strategic relationships with Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDT), Decision Making Units (DMU), and other stakeholders, leveraging a deep scientific understanding to deliver life-changing medicines to patients. The role involves positively influencing customer prescribing behavior to achieve sales targets and maximize market share for designated products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities and strategies to enhance the positioning of AstraZeneca's Biologics products locally.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Franchise Manager, and CFT to develop local strategies and business plans to meet targets.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify territory business opportunities.
  • Develop account plans and allocate resources for optimal sales impact.
  • Monitor account business plans to ensure resources are directed to customers with the greatest potential.
  • Participate in promotional activity programs to increase product awareness and establish AstraZeneca as a strategic partner.
  • Gather insights from target specialties and support the launch of new indications.
  • Engage Biologics users in dialogue regarding approved indications, product efficacy/safety profiles, and treatment protocols.
  • Establish and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Share stakeholder insights within AstraZeneca to strengthen relevant activities.
  • Update territory customer segmentation, database, and call records continuously in Veeva.
  • Deliver key promotional messages according to approved plans and marketing strategy.
  • Build trust and credibility with customers by demonstrating integrity and adhering to the AstraZeneca Code of Conduct.
  • Explore and expand new customers, developing more Bio-users.
  • Submit monthly reports on business plan deviations and intended actions.
  • Ensure punctual delivery of reports and daily synchronization of ETMS Veeva.
  • Monitor and assess sales transactions to identify potential irregular sales patterns.
  • Build knowledge and understanding of AstraZeneca's overall Biologics value proposition, product indications, and efficacy data among relevant stakeholders.
  • Utilize different communication approaches and channels to build knowledge within the MDT and DMU.
  • Conduct science-based discussions with healthcare professionals as per approved indications.
  • Arrange multidisciplinary workshops for physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Arrange and coordinate effective speaker programs with physician advocates and KOLs.
  • Actively support Central pharmacists and nurses on relevant trainings.
  • Drive sales performance and ensure sales forecasts meet or exceed expectations while managing assigned budgets.
  • Promote the benefits of AstraZeneca's Biologics brands using fair balance messages and appropriate promotional tools.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of AstraZeneca's products in line with national/local guidelines and product licenses.
  • Implement sales strategy, tactics, and Account Action Plans (TAP) aligned with CF in accordance with company policies.
  • Facilitate enlistment of newly launched and key products in accounts within agreed timelines.
  • Comply with all external regulations and internal policies.
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards and adhere to the AstraZeneca Code of Ethics.
  • Report health/environment/wellbeing related accidents, adverse events, and changes in Conflict of Interest status.
  • Develop behaviors outlined in the Associate Key Account Competency framework.
  • Identify areas for self-development and discuss developmental needs with the line manager.
  • Attend and actively participate in sales meetings, product, and training sessions.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Saudi national.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience with sound knowledge of account management, including relevant pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of sales experience in Biologics/Specialty.
  • Demonstrated track record of engaging key stakeholders in complex clinical environments, such as mid and senior-level healthcare professionals, key accounts, and the medical community.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholder decision-making processes within complex Decision Making Units (DMU).
  • Proven successful experience working in complex cross-functional teams.
  • Customer value proposition and patient-centric mindset.
  • Business acumen with high medical knowledge.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Key Account management expertise is preferred.
  • Experience with ENT specialty doctors is preferred.

Work Environment
