About the Role

ARASCO is seeking a Sr. Manager Sales, Animal Health & Feed Additive to lead the Veterinary Products Sales team. This full-time role involves driving sales performance, developing team members, and executing strategic sales initiatives. The Senior Manager will be responsible for establishing new sales channels, launching differentiated products, and managing key customer relationships.

Division Context

The Veterinary Products division of Al-Emar operates as a licensed distributor of leading global veterinary products within the GCC region. The division navigates a dynamic customer landscape, coordinating sales performance across various customer segments to achieve overall sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the sales team to deliver on strategy and annual sales plans.
• Cultivate relationships with corporate and business unit heads to align sales objectives with ARASCO and Al Emar's business strategy.
• Define plans and strategies for business development and achieving sales targets.
• Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
• Manage sales teams, operations, and resources to ensure profitable growth.
• Ensure accountability for assigned results among key sales and sales management associates.
• Define and improve sales processes to drive desired outcomes.
• Establish and govern the sales organization’s performance management system and guiding principles.
• Review incentive programs with HR to motivate the sales team and distributors.
• Optimize the allocation and use of assigned budgets.
• Define and coordinate sales training programs to support staff development and company sales objectives.
• Identify and negotiate contracts with customers and distributors, ensuring performance metrics are met.
• Coordinate sales relationships and channel partners, including distributor sales.
• Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity, providing feedback to leadership.
• Collaborate with the Business Development function to plan and establish new sales categories and channel partners.
• Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
• Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners to develop key relationships.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant sales leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop sales teams.
• Experience in establishing and executing new sales channel strategies.
• Proven track record in managing relationships with high-level category managers and executives.

Internal and External Communication

This role requires ongoing internal communication with the President for work-related issues, with the Sales team for performance updates, and with other ARASCO departments such as HR and Finance for coordination. Externally, the Senior Manager will engage with key customers and distributors to gauge responses and resolve issues.

Resource Planning and Decision Making

Responsibilities include resource planning and allocation based on discussions, providing inputs for pricing decisions, and making decisions regarding distributor selection and the prioritization of new markets.
