Role Overview

Marriott International is seeking a Steward, also known as a Utility Cleaner, to join its team in the Red Sea region. This full-time role is essential for supporting various vital hotel functions, primarily focusing on cleaning needs across departments such as the kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, clean linen and spotless dining ware for guests.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, linen washers, and dryers.
• Transport dishware or linens across the hotel premises.
• Ensure a safe workplace by following company policies and procedures.
• Uphold quality standards and adhere to quality expectations.
• Maintain a professional uniform, personal appearance, and communication style.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
• Support the team in achieving common goals and respond appropriately to concerns from other employees.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications

• No high school diploma or *** equivalent is required.
• No prior related work experience is required.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No specific license or certification is required for this role.
