About the Steward Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking a Steward to join its team in the Red Sea. This full-time, entry-level position is crucial for maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency across various hotel departments. The role is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, providing an opportunity to contribute to a luxury hospitality environment.

Role Overview

As a Steward, you will play a vital role in supporting essential hotel functions by ensuring cleanliness and order. This involves working across departments such as the kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry to meet cleaning requirements. Key responsibilities include preparing spotless dining ware and fresh linen for guests, operating and maintaining various cleaning equipment, and efficiently transporting items throughout the hotel premises.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe workplace environment and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Uphold quality standards, ensuring professional uniform, personal appearance, and communication.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
• Support team objectives and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, linen washers, and dryers.
• Prepare fresh, clean linen and spotless dining ware for guest use.
• Transport dishware or linens across the hotel as required.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: No high school diploma or *** equivalent is required.
• Related Work Experience: No prior related work experience is required.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
• License or Certification: None required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
