Role Overview: Supervisor Banquets

The Supervisor Banquets ensures the gracious and thoughtful delivery of The Ritz-Carlton's "Gold Standards" daily. This full-time role involves overseeing banquet operations, maintaining service excellence, and supporting the team to meet guest needs and company standards. The position requires 0-1 years of experience and focuses on operational efficiency, team coordination, and adherence to service protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure staff collaboration and teamwork.
• Inspect staff grooming and attire, addressing any deficiencies.
• Communicate effectively with guests, employees, and other departments to fulfill guest needs.
• Respond to and facilitate special banquet event arrangements.
• Set up banquet areas/rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper arrangement of furniture and equipment.
• Inspect and maintain table set-ups for cleanliness, neatness, and compliance with group requirements and company standards, resolving any issues.
• Document pertinent information in the appropriate department logbook.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure a clean and professional appearance, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly, including answering telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats (*, small print).
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
