Supervisor Food Services (Dry)

About the Role

Le Meridien is seeking a Supervisor-Food Services (Dry) to join their team. This full-time role involves overseeing food service operations, ensuring optimal service delivery, and maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure staff collaboration for optimum service and guest satisfaction.
• Inspect staff grooming and attire, addressing any deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning, and securing areas.
• Monitor storage areas for organization, adherence to FIFO, and cleanliness.
• Conduct scheduled inventories and requisition necessary supplies.
• Oversee dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well-being.
• Submit work orders for maintenance repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Serve as a role model and initial point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.

Operational Compliance and Standards

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others.
• Foster positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Identify, recommend, develop, and implement new methods to enhance organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Visual inspection of tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a related field. The role requires a proactive approach to maintaining service standards and supporting team development. Additional duties may be assigned by Supervisors as needed.
