Food Services Supervisor (Saudi only)

About the Role

Courtyard by Marriott is seeking a Food Services Supervisor (Saudi only) to join their team. This full-time role involves overseeing food service operations to ensure optimal guest satisfaction and efficient team performance. The supervisor will play a key role in maintaining service standards, managing staff, and upholding operational integrity within the food service department.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure staff collaboration for optimum service and guest satisfaction.
• Inspect staff grooming and attire, addressing any deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, and securing areas.
• Inspect storage areas for organization, adherence to FIFO principles, and cleanliness.
• Conduct scheduled inventories and requisition necessary supplies.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well-being.
• Complete work orders for maintenance repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
• Serve as a role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies; report accidents and unsafe conditions; and complete required safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality of proprietary information, and company asset protection.
• Welcome guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally, develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and address employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, or cost-savings.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Visual inspection of tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team and ensure service standards.
• Strong understanding of food service operations, including inventory management and safety protocols.
