Supplier Industrialization Quality Engineer

About the Role

TK Elevator is seeking a Supplier Industrialization Quality Engineer to join their team in Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is crucial for strengthening supplier performance by improving manufacturing efficiency, ensuring product quality, and reducing overall costs. The position involves close collaboration with suppliers to validate process capability, secure capacity readiness, support new product introductions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring operations meet company standards for quality, reliability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and existing supplier quality systems and process capabilities in line with TKEC Supplier Assessment Policy, conducting annual supplier audits, product audits, and VDA process audits.
• Perform manufacturing process audits, time studies, and line-balancing analyses at supplier facilities to assess operational effectiveness.
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and risks within supplier processes and implement corrective actions.
• Support suppliers in establishing stable and capable manufacturing processes by monitoring CP/CPK, cycle time, and yield.
• Review supplier performance regularly, prepare detailed reports on key quality metrics, and drive corrective actions.
• Validate supplier capacity, layout, manpower, and equipment readiness for new and existing products.
• Lead cross-functional teams in resolving supplier quality issues, ensuring timely root-cause analysis and effective long-term solutions.
• Review and approve critical supplier documentation, including process flows, work instructions, PFMEAs, and control plans.
• Support production ramp-up, volume increases, and localization initiatives to ensure stable manufacturing transitions.
• Ensure supplier readiness for new product introductions and engineering changes, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in and execute APQP, PPAP, and First Article Inspection activities.
• Ensure all industrialization milestones and deliverables are achieved according to the Standard Product Development Process (SPDP).
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality, Purchasing, R&D, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams for alignment and issue resolution.
• Provide technical guidance and training to suppliers on Manufacturing Process Control, Variation Reduction, Control Plan Development, Mistake Proofing, 6S, Lean Production, and other TKE-sponsored improvement programs.
• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and work instructions as defined in the Safety Management System.

Qualifications and Experience

• Four-year college or university degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Automotive, or Electrical preferred).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience (5-10 years total experience required) in manufacturing or supplier engineering within Automobile, Industrial, Consumer, or Electronics manufacturing environments (Elevator manufacturing preferred).
• Hands-on experience working directly with suppliers on industrialization and quality improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with Supplier Quality Management processes.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Project management experience is an added advantage.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plan development.
• Ability to perform time studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis.
• Expertise in quality tools such as 8D, variation reduction, mistake-proofing, and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency in common office software tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• Understanding of a wide range of manufacturing processes used in production.
