Supv II Food & Beverage

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Supv II-Food & Beverage to join their team in Medina. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and focuses on ensuring optimal service delivery and guest satisfaction within the food and beverage operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure staff collaboration for optimum service and guest needs fulfillment.
• Inspect staff grooming and attire, addressing any deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning, and securing areas.
• Inspect storage areas for organization, adherence to FIFO, and cleanliness.
• Conduct scheduled inventories and requisition necessary supplies.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well-being.
• Complete work orders for maintenance repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Serve as a role model and initial point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
• Adhere to all company and safety/security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
• Ensure professional appearance, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others.
• Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, and identify opportunities for efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings.

Physical Requirements

• Read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or * equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None required.
