Technical lead

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical leader for your squad, owning system design, code quality, and engineering standards.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.
• Contribute hands-on to the codebase when needed, particularly for complex or high-impact areas.
• Review code, guide architectural decisions, and ensure best practices in testing, documentation, and observability.
• Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term system health and sustainability.
• Lead, mentor, and support software engineers, fostering their technical and professional growth.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Support onboarding and knowledge sharing processes.
• Provide clear technical direction while empowering engineers to make informed decisions.
• Own end-to-end execution for team deliverables, from planning to production.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ensure alignment between product priorities, technical execution, and platform standards.
• Act as the primary point of escalation for technical or delivery challenges within the team.
• Ensure production readiness, performance, and reliability of owned services.
• Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-mortems.
• Continuously improve development workflows, tooling, and team productivity.
• Leverage AI and automation to enhance engineering efficiency and product quality where applicable.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a technical leadership or senior engineering role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead system design and ensure code quality.
• Experience in mentoring and developing software engineers.
