About the Role

flyadeal is seeking a Technical Planner to join its team. This full-time role is central to coordinating and planning aircraft maintenance activities, ensuring timely and efficient operations. The Technical Planner collaborates extensively with various internal departments and external stakeholders to maintain the airline's fleet.

Core Planning and Scheduling

• Coordinate with the Contracted Service Provider to obtain and review the Maintenance Due List on a regular basis.
• Identify maintenance tasks that need to be accomplished based on their due dates.
• Coordinate with Line Planners to allocate work for the respective stations.
• Liaise with the Contracted Service Provider for the creation and issuance of work packages for planned maintenance work.
• Coordinate with the Contracted Maintenance Organisation Planning Team for the scheduling of maintenance and availability of resources, spares, materials, tooling, and equipment.
• Prepare and issue bi-weekly maintenance plans to all stakeholders.
• Prepare and issue a 3-month maintenance plan, including A checks, Borescope Inspections, RAT Tests, and other Single Running Tasks.
• Review and re-issue maintenance plans based on actual performance of checks.
• Coordinate with the Aircraft Scheduling Team for the availability of aircraft on ground for maintenance activities.

Operational Coordination and Follow-up

• Coordinate with the MCC Controller for troubleshooting and rectification actions for MEL and other open defects.
• Liaise with the MCC Defect Controller for Maintenance Action Requests raised to troubleshoot and rectify defects reported in the Skywise system.
• Coordinate with the Material Planner for the availability of required spares and materials.
• Closely follow up on the execution of all planned maintenance to ensure timely release of aircraft to service.
• Closely coordinate between MCC and CMO in cases of aircraft delays.
• Prepare Roster for Line Planners to ensure coverage during planned and unplanned maintenance events.
• Monitor performance of Line Planners and conduct performance appraisals.
• Identify training needs for Line Planners and coordinate with the Planning Manager for arranging required training.

Process Management and Reporting

• Establish working processes with the Contracted Maintenance Organisation (CMO) to ensure all completed aircraft paperwork is controlled and handed over to FAD Line Planners immediately after aircraft release.
• Ensure processes are in place for reviewing and correcting all discrepancies in aircraft paperwork before handing over to Technical Records for filing and archiving.
• Ensure all completed work packages are reported back to the Contracted Service Provider for MIS system updates.
• Coordinate with the Technical Records Supervisor to ensure the MIS is updated for reported and rectified defects, component changes, and other flight data.
• Coordinate with the Quality Inspector and Technical Records in the Certificate of Airworthiness (COA) renewal process.
• Prepare and issue delay reports for late releases from maintenance.
• Review and propose enhancements to existing processes and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or a Technical Diploma.
• 5-10 years of experience in a similar role within an aircraft maintenance environment.
• Demonstrated experience in using various functions of Maintenance Information Systems.
• Good knowledge of GACA Regulations.
• Good knowledge of Aircraft Manufacturer’s Manuals and other relevant documentation.

Work Type

This is a full-time position within flyadeal's operational framework, requiring a dedicated approach to maintaining aircraft readiness and operational efficiency through meticulous planning and coordination.
