About the Role

Wood is seeking a TPE V / Process Safety / Major Hazards SME to serve as a Technical Authority. This full-time role is based in Saudi Arabia and involves leading technical assurance across a diverse portfolio of energy, oil & gas, mining, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to lead technical assurance specifically for process safety and major accident hazard management. The role requires a recognized industry expert capable of addressing complex engineering challenges and driving technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the Technical Authority across multiple projects.
Lead technical reviews during Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design phases.
Perform independent design assurance and peer reviews.
Resolve complex engineering challenges and provide specialist guidance.
Support proposals, client workshops, and business development activities.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical capability development of the THSE team.
Develop and maintain engineering standards and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
Proven track record of solving complex engineering challenges.
Demonstrated ability to influence clients and mentor engineering teams.
Experience driving technical excellence across major international projects.
