Banquet Assistant Manager

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Banquet Assistant Manager to join their team in Riyadh and Ad Dir'iyah. This full-time role involves overseeing banquet operations to ensure optimal service delivery and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure staff collaboration for optimum service and guest satisfaction.
• Inspect staff grooming and attire, addressing any deficiencies.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and securing areas.
• Monitor storage areas for organization, FIFO adherence, and cleanliness.
• Conduct scheduled inventories and requisition necessary supplies.
• Oversee dining rooms for seating, service, safety, and guest well-being.
• Submit work orders for maintenance repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Serve as a role model and initial contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies; report incidents; and complete required training.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome guests according to standards, anticipate needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others.
• Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and identify opportunities for efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
