About the Role
Almoosa Health Group is seeking a dedicated Clinical Dietitian to join their team in Al-Ahsa. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive nutritional care and support to patients and their families, contributing to their recovery and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized, coordinated care, support, and treatment plans for patients and their families, treating all individuals with dignity, compassion, and respect.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers, providing resources to promote optimal recovery.
- Adhere to evidence-based practices in all aspects of patient care.
- Implement and maintain cost control procedures to conserve hospital resources effectively.
- Obtain diet histories, perform nutritional assessments and reassessments, and develop nutritional plans of care.
- Plan and calculate therapeutic diets, evaluating patient calorie intake as needed.
- Identify and highlight potential food-drug interactions to clinical staff.
- Conduct patient interviews and visits, making recommendations related to dietary needs.
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on patient cases when necessary.
- Conduct periodic lectures for the department and participate in awareness campaigns to enhance community nutrition knowledge.
- Review and update the dietary manual as required.
- Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned by the Chief of Medical Nutrition.
- Demonstrate accountability for the proper use of patients' protected health information and adherence to institutional safety practices.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Nutrition. A minimum of two to five years of professional experience in a clinical setting is required. This role demands a high degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in both written and oral English and Arabic.
- Computer literacy.
- Proper, effective, and compassionate communication skills.
- A positive, calm, and confident demeanor, with a willingness to assume a leadership role and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Al-Ahsa. The role involves direct patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare professionals within the Almoosa Health Group.
