Purchasing & Logistics Manager

About the Role

Rgheeb is seeking an experienced Purchasing & Logistics Manager to join its team in Al Hafuf, Eastern region. This full-time role involves overseeing procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing logistics operations. The manager will ensure timely procurement of materials and services at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards and identifying opportunities for cost savings and resale of surplus materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing plans in coordination with warehouse, factory, and operations departments.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers, maintaining an approved supplier list.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, contracts, and purchasing terms, and issue purchase orders according to the company's authority matrix.
• Monitor supplied material quality, manage returns, and resolve supplier-related issues.
• Establish alternative suppliers for critical materials to minimize supply chain disruptions.
• Coordinate with the marketing department for sample approvals to ensure materials meet specifications before distribution.
• Plan and coordinate material transportation between suppliers, warehouses, factories, and branches, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Analyze purchasing costs, identify cost reduction opportunities, and monitor procurement savings against established reference prices.
• Identify opportunities to resell surplus materials and coordinate with the Finance Manager for pricing and invoicing approvals.

Team Management and Reporting

• Supervise the purchasing and logistics team, delegate responsibilities, and monitor performance.
• Provide guidance, conduct performance evaluations, and identify development opportunities for team members.
• Monitor team attendance, punctuality, and compliance with company policies in coordination with Human Resources.
• Prepare detailed financial reports outlining procurement savings and calculation methodologies.
• Submit monthly executive reports to the General Manager covering procurement performance, cost savings, supplier performance, branch deliveries, operational challenges, and resale revenue.
• Perform additional departmental responsibilities as directed by the General Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
• Previous experience in the restaurant and café industry is mandatory.
• Strong experience in supplier negotiation, procurement planning, and contract management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage purchasing operations, logistics coordination, and supplier relationships.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments, suppliers, and transportation providers.
• Must currently reside in Saudi Arabia.
