The Role: Aircraft Maintenance Technician
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team in Al Majma'ah. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and offers a competitive salary. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and rectification of Aircraft Equipment and associated components, with a focus on PC21 Flight Line and Intermediate Maintenance operations. The role also involves providing On the Job Training (OJT) and conducting Production Inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operationally capable aircraft to support KFAA pilot training programs through comprehensive maintenance tasks.
- Perform Flight Line Servicing, scheduled servicing, fault troubleshooting, rectification, modifications, and inspections/evaluations of aircraft systems and components within the AMT specialty at the Intermediate/Organisational level.
- Offer technical specialty support in evaluating, interpreting, and determining maintenance faults, corrective actions, and operational status of aircraft systems and components.
- Achieve and maintain Production Inspections signatory capability for authorised specific trade certifications.
- Obtain and maintain certifications necessary to support specialty and aircraft maintenance functions.
- Acquire user expertise and proficiency with the RSAF aircraft data management and tracking computer system, MIRO Gold.
- Understand and comply with the RSAF Safety and Foreign Object Programme.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Requirements:
- A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable technical qualification acceptable to M&CA.
- Hold relevant type training (‘Q’ Course) and equipment-specific training, if required.
- Extensive post-qualification practical maintenance experience (5-10 years) within an operational flying aircraft environment, supported by formal recorded workplace-applied related training, OR experience on the same aircraft type, OR successful completion of a BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP).
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
- Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety, and proactive hazard analysis pertinent to the role.
- Sound oral and written two-way communication skills, with the ability to be tactful, discreet, and confident in dealing with people at all levels.
- Ability to work effectively in a mixed EE/SN workforce.
- Must obtain and maintain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership at the appropriate level prior to commencing employment in KSA.
Desirable Attributes:
- An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures.
- A sound understanding of the RSAF 4-1-7166 series and supporting technical publications applicable to this work area.
- Computer literate with an understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of Quality Management System, DMS, and an understanding of M&CA processes.
- A quality-minded, mature individual who adopts a positive and proactive approach to aircraft maintenance and support issues.
- Ability to work on own initiative to resolve complex technical issues.
