BAE Systems Saudi Arabia serves as the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor, providing essential equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia under Government-to-Government arrangements. We are seeking a Full-time Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team in Al Majma'ah.

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician Role

This full-time position involves performing scheduled inspections, maintenance, and unscheduled rectification of Aircraft Equipment and associated components. The role provides Bay support and activities for PC21 Flight Line and Intermediate Maintenance operations. The successful candidate will also contribute to On the Job Training (OJT) functions and Production Inspections, alongside troubleshooting, inspections, removals, installations, repairs, and operating PC21 Flight Line and Intermediate Maintenance operations with associated support and test equipment. A competitive salary is offered for this role, which typically requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure operationally capable aircraft are available to support KFAA pilot training programmes by executing aircraft maintenance tasks.
  • Perform Flight Line Servicing, scheduled servicing, fault troubleshooting and rectification, modifications, and inspections/evaluations of aircraft systems and components within the AMT specialty at the Intermediate/Organisational level for training aircraft.
  • Provide technical specialty support for the evaluation, interpretation, and determination of requisite maintenance faults and corrective actions.
  • Assess the performance and operational status of specialty-specific aircraft systems and components, including testing and use of support equipment.
  • Achieve and maintain Production Inspections signatory capability for authorised specific trade certifications, and obtain/maintain certifications to support specialty and aircraft maintenance functions.
  • Acquire user expertise and become proficient with the RSAF aircraft data management and tracking computer system, MIRO Gold.
  • Adhere strictly to the RSAF Safety and Foreign Object Programme.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Hold relevant type training (‘Q’ Course) and equipment-specific training as required.
  • Possess extensive post-qualification practical maintenance experience (5-10 years) within an operational flying aircraft environment. This must be supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training, experience on the same aircraft type, or successful completion of a BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP).
  • Demonstrate sound oral and written two-way communication skills, with the ability to be tactful, discreet, and confident when interacting with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively in a mixed Expatriate Employee (EE) and Saudi National (SN) workforce.
  • Saudi or Expatriate candidates must obtain and maintain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership at the appropriate level prior to commencing employment in KSA or starting this role.

Candidates should possess a quality-minded and mature approach to aircraft maintenance and support issues, adopting a positive and proactive attitude. The ability to work on one's own initiative to resolve complex technical issues is also highly valued.
