Mechanical Technician

About the Role

Acwa China is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join their team in Al Qassim. This full-time role involves executing various maintenance activities for power and desalination plants, working under the guidance of a Mechanical Supervisor or Engineer. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Job Summary

The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance tasks. This includes participating in annual outages and equipment overhauls, with a strong emphasis on adhering to all safety requirements and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with all applicable safety rules and regulations.
• Perform plant maintenance activities in a timely and safe manner, strictly following established procedures and work instructions.
• Document equipment maintenance concerns and maintain accurate history records.
• Report spare parts and consumable requirements to the Mechanical Supervisor and assist in monitoring spare part availability.
• Ensure proper equipment isolation before commencing maintenance activities, in coordination with the Mechanical Supervisor and local operator.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems, then perform necessary maintenance within the assigned area.
• Install, adjust, inspect, service, and repair various static and rotating mechanical equipment used in Power and Desalination Plants.
• Ensure the proper care and safe use of tools, lifting equipment, and other devices required for maintenance tasks.
• Carry out all necessary preparations for mechanical maintenance of assigned equipment and areas.
• Maintain a good working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping standards within the assigned work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within power or desalination plants. A strong understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance procedures is essential for this role.

Work Environment

This position requires readiness to work in a remote location within Al Qassim. The role is full-time and involves hands-on maintenance activities in an industrial setting.
