Assistant Director of People and Culture Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea at Shura Island

About the Role

Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Saudi Arabia, is seeking an Assistant Director of People and Culture to join the team at the new Four Seasons Resort Red Sea at Shura Island. This full-time role is based in the Red Sea destination, located between Umluj and Al Wajh, Saudi Arabia. The Assistant Director will report to the Director of People and Culture and will be instrumental in leading the People and Culture strategy and overseeing daily operations.

The Red Sea Destination

The Red Sea destination is being developed as a luxury beachside destination along 200 km of coastline, focusing on sustainable practices and tourism. The new Four Seasons Resort on Shura Island will feature approximately 149 rooms and suites, six restaurant and lounge outlets, meeting and events spaces, a marine discovery center, and comprehensive leisure facilities including a spa, tennis courts, and multiple pools. This development emphasizes environmental conservation and relies on renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the People & Culture Department and collaborate on strategy implementation.
• Act as an objective third party in employee counselling, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve patterns of unsatisfactory employee turnover.
• Assist in managing the departmental budget, including benefits, labor and salary reporting, and planning cost-effective events.
• Oversee regular audits of insurance, immigration, labor records, and paid-time-off allowances.
• Monitor and ensure organizational compliance with local employment laws and regulations; review and revise policies as needed.
• Act as a liaison between employees and management regarding company policies and regulations.
• Work closely with Finance on labor meetings, employee attestations, and wage and hour training.
• Supervise employee programs such as recognition celebrations, community outreach, and staff events.
• Respond to employee claims, Workers’ Compensation matters, Leaves of Absence, and Wage & Hour inquiries.
• Participate as an active member of the Health, Safety and Security Committee.
• Work professionally with all staff while maintaining confidentiality of People & Culture information.
• Oversee the hiring process and support the Talent Acquisition Manager.
• Lead People & Culture metrics and reporting efforts, providing updates on employee performance and turnover.
• Manage People & Culture budgets, ensuring cost-effective strategies and resource allocation.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in People and Culture leadership, with a demonstrated passion for creating a positive employee experience. The role requires a professional who can lead day-to-day operations and contribute to strategic initiatives within a luxury hospitality environment.
