Faculty Position in Control and Instrumentation Engineering

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran invites applications for full-time faculty positions within the Control and Instrumentation Engineering (CIE) areas. These roles are open at all academic ranks: Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor. KFUPM seeks candidates who demonstrate outstanding academic qualifications or significant industrial experience in relevant fields.

Specialization Areas

The department is particularly interested in candidates with expertise in the following areas:

• Process Modeling and Control
• Dynamic Simulation
• Instrumentation
• Mechatronics
• Robotics

Role Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be expected to contribute significantly to the university's academic and research mission. Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Advising and mentoring students.
• Supervising Master's (MS) and Doctoral (PhD) theses and dissertations.
• Developing funded research programs aligned with their field of specialization.

The successful candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to quality education and active student interaction.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• An earned ** from a reputable institution.
• A strong record of published research.
• Experience in supervising the research of graduate students.
• Relevant teaching experience at the university level.
• Teaching and/or industrial experience in the respective areas of interest.
