We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to manage our supplier database and support our operational goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new suppliers, managing daily requisitions, and coordinating supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the supplier database and seek new suppliers that fit the annual Operating Plan.
• Handle daily requisitions, expedite deliveries, and resolve quality issues.
• Conduct physical inventories quarterly.
• Collaborate with Product Design for cost-effective solutions.
• Maintain all related data on SAP or similar systems.
• Oversee direct reports and support their purchasing activities.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply to the shop floor while managing multiple programs.
• Communicate effectively with various departments and provide performance metrics.
• Survey the marketplace for the best sources to meet company requirements.
• Support the goal of building strategic supplier partnerships.
• Approximately 10% travel for supplier visits and company sites.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 13 years of purchasing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field; higher qualifications are a plus.
