The Role:
We are looking for a Procurement Officer (Engineer) to join our Procurement Team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement operations for engineering projects, conducting market research to find the best suppliers and products, negotiating contracts and pricing with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and security maintenance on procurement-related systems in compliance with company policies.
• Assist with supplier selection and evaluation.
• Maintain the company’s supplier database and ensure timely updates.
• Provide hands-on support for resolving procurement-related issues.
• Ensure all purchases comply with legal and environmental standards.
• Assist with the preparation of procurement reports and inventory management.
• Work closely with internal teams to forecast future procurement needs.
• Manage and monitor procurement budgets for projects.
• Continuously evaluate procurement processes for improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a procurement or supply chain role, preferably in engineering related to construction/facility maintenance fields.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and contract management.
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with staff at all levels.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English.
