About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Plumber to join our team in Medina. This full-time role involves performing various plumbing tasks and general maintenance duties to ensure the proper functioning of the hotel's facilities. We are looking for a candidate with 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.

Role Summary

The Plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures throughout the property. This position requires a practical understanding of plumbing principles, the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and operational quality. The role also involves general maintenance tasks to support overall facility upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

• Fix minor plumbing problems, including unclogging drains.
• Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings according to specifications.
• Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air to detect and locate leaks.
• Review blueprints, building codes, and specifications to plan installations.
• Study building plans and inspect structures to accurately plan plumbing installations.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles and dimensions.
• Install and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, and fixtures.
• Perform miscellaneous minor repairs across the facility.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on plumbing tools and equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

This role requires 0-1 years of experience in plumbing or a related maintenance field. Candidates should demonstrate a foundational understanding of plumbing systems and general maintenance practices.

Physical Demands

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 75 pounds without assistance.
• Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move up and down a ladder safely.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
