Electrical Supervisor

About the Role

Acwa is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to oversee daily electrical maintenance activities within its plant operations in Makkah, specifically in Rabigh and Makkah. This full-time role focuses on ensuring effective functionality, plant availability, and equipment reliability through diligent supervision of maintenance work.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to supervise all electrical maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance, planned outages, and overhauling work for electrical equipment. This must be conducted in strict adherence to overall maintenance plans, HSE guidelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise team activities to ensure targets, objectives, and business plans are met in line with established policies and procedures.
• Allocate resources for scheduled preventative maintenance, breakdowns, and major repair jobs to ensure optimal functionality and timely completion, reporting deviations to the Electrical Engineer.
• Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical equipment to maintain smooth operations.
• Test and validate equipment condition post-repair to confirm readiness and compliance with quality standards.
• Perform regular inspections to monitor work progress of electrical technicians, ensuring adherence to schedules and proper resource allocation, and reporting non-conformances.
• Participate in investigating and specifying modifications to existing systems, assisting the Electrical Engineer with technical submissions, drawings, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate the planning and execution of annual outage maintenance for critical electrical equipment, providing technical support to meet EHS, scope, cost, and timeline objectives.
• Ensure accurate completion of all electrical maintenance documentation, including the Maintenance Log, detailing faults, repair methods, time, labor, and materials.
• Monitor material and spare parts requirements for electrical maintenance and facilitate procurement to ensure timely availability and replenishment.
• Adhere to all relevant health, safety, security, and environmental procedures to ensure employee safety and environmental compliance.
• Comply with all organizational and departmental policies, processes, and standard maintenance procedures.
• Contribute to the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical maintenance supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a team effectively.
• Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of HSE guidelines and quality standards in an industrial plant setting.

Working Relationships

The Electrical Supervisor will work closely with the Electrical Engineer, Electrical Technicians, other maintenance teams, and the operations team internally. Externally, the role requires interaction with relevant contractors, SAP, and vendors.
